Shock Treatment started life as a weekly rock night at Roadkill in November 2005 (you can see the old flyer here if you want to). Or at least it was supposed to be a rock night - we used to pretty much play whatever we wanted, and then grumble when we had to play requests for stuff we didn't like. The venue closed for refurbishment in May 2006, and over the summer it was secretly revealed to us that work was being done on a new bar downstairs underneath Roadkill. Thinking that Shock Treatment would be perfect for this new place, the boss asked us if we'd consider moving... Fab Cafe Liverpool opened its doors on Thursday Septmber 28th, and Shock Treatment made its first appearance two days later on September 30th. Playing rock, punk, indie, one hit wonders and crap pop classics, you can find us there every Saturday night from 9pm til closing time. It's as much your night as it is ours, so tell us what you want to hear and if we've got it we'll play it!
